Spontaneous portraits are my favorites. When people are not thinking about posing they look “like themselves”. This is the face we recognize and many times people do not realize how attractive they really are until they see these un-posed images. I am attaching some examples here. These are actually simple to so. You just want to make sure that you have your subject in good light. Natural light is the best so place them somewhere out of direct sunlight. It you have a location with a white wall to reflect light back on the fabulous. Of course you can always create this with a reflector or large piece of what foam core. Then tell your subject to just look of to the side. No smiling is necessary. Suggest that they daydream about something pleasant. That will show on their faces. One thing to watch for is their eyes. You don’t want to cut off half an eye. Make sure you look closely and get various angles. I have attached a few examples that show this.
