Cost: 6 days     $1000 per person sharing room. 200 extra for private room
Includes:  hotel, breakfasts, tour, transportation from the Leon airport all tour costs. Add on a class from famous author and local instructor Chris Rubben $100.

Escape the heat and humidity of the US summer and explore the beauty of San Miguel de Allende. At 6500 ft. SMA is cool in the summer. You will visit Mexico’s rug hookers, learn the history of the area, soak in fascinating  hot springs, visit a Botanical Garden, explore art galleries,  shop and much much more.
DAY 1:  Arrive at the Leon Airport and be transported to the hotel Casa Linda.  Explore the town. Dinner at The Pegaso Restaurant.
DAY 2:  Learn  the history of SMA and Mexico’s colonial past with a 2. 5 hour walking tour followed by lunch. Visit the Aurora Art Galleries. Dinner at Hecho in Mexico.
Day 3: Visit Augustin Gonzales and meet Las Rancheritas. Enjoy a traditional Mexican lunch, learn:  rug hooking, traditional cooking techniques, stone carving, medicinal herbs and a bit of the old language, Otomi,  from an elder. Dinner on your own.
Day 4: Tour the Botanical gardens then walk down to the big Market for lunch then shopping at the artisans market. Diner on your own.
Day 5: Visit to the famous town of Atotonilco and it’s historic church followed by an afternoon at La Gruta Hot springs. Lunch included. Diner on your own.
Day 6:  Morning shopping or  cooking class with Chris Rubin. Visit the Mask Museum.   Farewell dinner at “The Restaurant”.
DAY 7: Return to Leon Airport.
