It’s bluebonnet season here is Texas. This year is a bumper crop from the fall rains. Flowers are wonderful subject matter but you will need a few hints to get great photos of these small wonders.
- get in close to show better detail
- shoot photos in mid morning or just before sunset for best light
- try different viewpoints, including lying on the ground or standing above the flower.
- avoid taking photos from the same spot
- if shooting in manual mode, use a larger aperture or small f-stop number, to narrow the depth of field.
- use a low ISO (100 or 200) for a “noise-free” outdoor photo
Have fun.
